Obituary

Beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, cousin and friend to many Stanislao (Stan) Pietramala died peacefully on Tuesday July 25, 2023, after battling a long illness. Stan was born in Cleto, Cosenza, Italy to parents Giuseppe (deceased) and Rosaria Pietramala. He was the older brother to Giorgio (George), Pasquale, Maria, Fernando and Marco and an uncle to nephews Anthony, and Christopher and niece Amanda. As well as being missed by his direct family, Stan will also be missed by his many friends and extended relatives from uncles, and aunts, to his many cousins located not just in Canada, but in Italy and Argentina. Stan immigrated to Canada at age 5 and remained a lifelong resident of Little Italy on College St. He chose to get his Canadian citizenship as an adult but was always proud of his Italian heritage. He enjoyed many of the wonderful traditions of his ancestral land such as making homemade wine, and tomato sauce. Stan rooted for Italy in International soccer, but also grew up an avid Leafs fan and enjoyed watching both those teams with family and friends. He enjoyed golfing and bowling.   In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College would be appreciated.

Signora Pietramala and familia. My heart is with you all in your time of sorrow. We have been friends for a very long time and grew up with all the boys and Maria. Stanley will be greatly missed but his warmth, kindness and gentle spirit will live on in our memories. Whenever I would go visit my parents Stanley was there and we would have a wonderul chat about the past and present. Truly a wonderful person. It is hard to believe that he is gone but he is at peace and no more suffering. The loss of a friend like Stanley is something that is never forgotten. You were the rock of the family and you were so close to your mother and siblings. With tears I bid you farewell my friend until we meet again. My sincerest condolences to you all. With love from David, Dolores, Lisa and Cindy Soares.

To the Pietramala Family. We lived two doors down from you since 1963, until my parents moved away. Stan was the last person I said goodbye to, when I closed those doors for the last time. It was a day I never forgot. He was the oldest of the "Euclid Boys", our bigger brother, for those without an older sibling. Soft spoken, caring and a wonderful person. His dedication to his mother, sister Maria and brothers, is something I will always remember about him. I greatly admired him and he was always smiling; I can't ever remember him in a bad mood, EVER! Your battle is over dear neighbour. I know you are at peace, but the loss will be immense for your family. "There are some who bring a light so great to this world, that even after they have gone, the light remains". May this light stay with your family and friends dear Stan. Our sincerest condolences to all Hilda Umbelina Andrade and Henry Andrade Januario and Natalia Umbelina
