I find it hilarious those saying the Tavares family was there at the end. Yes they were, but besides from his mother were no part of his life for 9 years except for 2 short visits from his daughters. I was told by one of them not to attend his funeral so I did not out of respect for how much he loved his children so save the dramatic veiled comments about that.

I never met Tony personally but thru Michelle I felt that he was a beautiful loving, caring person whom cared for others in every way. God has gained one of His faithful. May He ease your pain, and let you know the thanksgiving that Tony gave you, He is at peace, may each of you have the same.

Michelle, its taken me a while to think of something to write here. No words will ease your pain, but your memories will keep you going. You and Tony had a great thing going, you loved one another with such ease. I could see it in your eyes as well as Tony's when you were together. You know he will always love you as you will love him. Tony will always be with you in spirit and I know he will visit you often, you will feel his presence no matter where you are and what you are doing. You will feel his warmth and see his smile. I'm so very sorry for your loss. But take comfort in knowing that Tony's vision for the APM Rescue will live on and accomplish great things and save many lives. My condolence was somehow a little mixed up somehow. Pardon the last one, somehow it autocorrected! Tony may you be at peace and know that Michelle will love you forever! I hope you visit her often in spirit. You were the one and only man I approved of for my dear friend! You were her love for the last 9 years and you will always be! Rest in peace Tony! Sadly, I won't call and here you call me Mackin when you always told Michelle I was on the phone. I know you are proud of Michelle at this time. I met Tony through Michelle at their home in Brockville. He was always a fierce advocate of All Paws Matter and of Michelle's efforts. He was loved immensely.

I met Tony when my friend, Bobbi and I were traveling from Mexico to Brockville in September Not knowing what would sadly transpire I feel blessed that I got to meet Tony A very special man - kind, funny and a true caring gentle man

Tony must have been one incredible man to have been loved so much. I never met him but I see that he touched so many lives, human and animal. As a friend of Michelle's, I believe he will be watching over her and will give her strength to continue fighting for the animals. I lost my beloved brother to cancer it was horrible to watch him deteriorate each day. He is now in heaven with my father sister and little brother.
