Obituary

Valerio will forever be cherished by his wife Rosanna of almost 50 years, his children Marisa (PJ), Joe (Kay) and Valerie (Clayton) and granddaughters Skylar and Zoe. Valerio was a selfless man. He loved his family with every ounce of his being but was modest, simple, warm and generous. He took pleasure in the simple things in life and appreciated all that he had. His spirituality and kindness was felt by all whom he welcomed into his home. There was always room for one more at his table. He especially had a soft spot for animals, loved to dance and enjoyed listening to music. During quiet times, stamp collecting, coin collecting  and reminiscing of his travels and journeys were pastimes that were near and dear to Valerio’s heart.

(1 Tessalonicesi 4.15-17) As I cannot be close to you in this sad circumstance, however, may you know that my love is with you. "For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.” (1. Thessalonians 4.15-17)
