Obituary

Beginning July 16, 2021 the Bereavement Authority of Ontario is once again permitting visitations and services to take place that are open to the public. We must continue to maintain physical distancing, the wearing of masks and may not allow more than 40 guests at any one time. Once the maximum limit has been reached, we will ask any additional guests to kindly wait outside in a physically-distanced line until there is room to enter safely.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vladimir (Volodymyr) "Vlad" Govdei on December 9th in his home in Toronto at the age of 53.  Grew up in the town of Morshyn, Ukraine before moving to Toronto in 1994.  Beloved husband to Nataliya and father of Roksolana "Roxy" and Julia.  Devoted son of late Lidia and Ostap and brother of Luba.  Loving uncle to Oksana and Roman and godfather to Katherine.

Vlad will be greatly missed by all his close friends and will be remembered by many people in the Ukrainian community.

The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, in honour of Vladimir donations may be made to the Adam Fanaki Brain Fund or to St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church

          Thank you

To Vlad's family, I am so very sorry and sad about the loss of your Vlad. I knew him as a fellow Royal LePage colleague and he was such a thoughtful and kind person, who was always smiling and so happy. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this very difficult time. With my deepest condolences, Sheila

In our memory, Volodya will forever remain a friendly, generous, and sincere person, a true professional in his field, and always a responsible and attentive friend which destiny sends only once in a lifetime. His death is an irreparable grief for relatives, friends, and colleagues. No words can alleviate the pain of this heavy loss. Accept our sincere condolences. We will remember him with eternal and bright memory. Вічна і світла пам’ять
