WILLIAM KERELIUK S/L - RCAF, Retired It is with profound sadness that Adele, wife and best friend announces the passing of William, after a lengthy illness. He leaves to cherish his memory his sister Cecile of Calgary, his brothers Richard and David of Windsor and his sister-in-law Emily of Toronto. William was a veteran of WWII, serving his tour of duty in England and the Balkans. His career in the military was in Air Intelligence. He was one of North West Air Commands liaison officers, training co-ordinator for NATO air defence navigators, and director of Air Intelligence in Ottawa. For 12 years he was director of Foreign Languages, training diplomats for their respective assignments. He had a passion for Volunteerism and for community work on many levels, applying all his efforts and involvement to the Ukrainian Canadian Community at large and especially in the Toronto area. Of special interest was the Canada/Ukraine Parliamentary programme sponsored by the Chair of Ukrainian Studies. Visitation on Monday 6-9 p.m. at St. Volodymyr's Cathedral, 400 Bathurst St., Panakhida at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 12 p.m. Interment St. Volodymyr's Cemetery, Oakville. In lieu of flowers donations to the St. Vladimir Institute, 620 Spadina Ave. and Chair of Ukrainian Studies would be appreciated.
