Artymyshyn, Yaroslaw, “Arty” Suddenly on Friday, November 16th in his 61st year. Beloved son of Anna and the late Hryhorij Artymyshyn. Dearly missed by his older sister Zenia Horlatsch (Walter) and younger brother Taras. Cherished uncle to Adriana Stechey (Michael) and Alexandra Horlatsch. Adored great uncle to Matthew, Alexander, and Markian. “Arty” will be greatly missed by his extended family and friends. Friends may call at Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette St on Monday, November 19th from 5:00pm-9:00pm with a Panachyda at 7:30pm. Funeral service to be held on Tuesday, November 20th at 10:30am from St. Josaphat’s Cathedral, 143 Franklin Ave. Interment to follow at Park Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.Visitation

A man full of humour and love for life, I fondly remember our Kalyna Choir performance days! He was a great lover of song and music! An awesome soul that was well loved by friends!

Although ARTIE is on a different road now, he gave us 61 great years.
He loved to live, laugh and never had a harsh word about anyone. I know that he will make a great angel.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the passing of "Arty". Both Anita & I have very fond memories of the memorable "Summer" times spent together under the stars @ Hawkestone, sharing many a story and often the odd shot or two or three. We will miss him dearly. Our sincerest sympathies to all of the family and especially to Zenia and Wally. Vichnaya Pamyat!

My deepest sympathies for your loss. Arty was such a kind and giving soul and was so welcoming to his friends and even to people he didn't know. His genuinely happy spirit will be missed at Hawkestone which he jokingly referred to as his "Huge multi million dollar vacation property that had it all: beach, dock, tennis court and volleyball court". Arty left a lasting impression on those who knew him and will be forever missed.
