Obituary

I am heartbroken to announce the death of my mother, Adilia Preto. She passed away this past Saturday at the age of 93.  As much as I am very sad and in pain, I remind myself that I was blessed to have my Mom to have lived such a long life.

As news spreads of Mom's passing, the loving gestures and kind words that people have shown me have helped me deal with the sadness and heartbreak.

Those who knew her well shared memories of her kindness, big heart and loving nature, her love of crocheting and cooking, that she not only was happy to share but teach to others. These wonderful reflections help me to honor her memory by celebrating the incredible woman she was and by cherishing the love she so generously bestowed upon us.

My mom showed me how to be kind, how to be humble and how to be grateful. She is now in heaven with my dad, her parents, her brother and sisters. I will miss her and I know that I was blessed to have such a wonderful mom.  Mãe descanse em paz.   - José Abílio

As we come together to honor her memory and celebrate her remarkable life, we extend an invitation to join us for her funeral and visitation arrangements.

I am sorry to hear about your loss. My condolences to you and your family Abilio. I always remember her being very nice to me; when she would babysit me at a young age. She was a great lady, who brought up a great son.
