Obituary

Family and friends you are invited to attend the viewing on Thursday the 15th of October, 2020 from 4 PM to 8 PM at the Cardinal funeral Home at 366 Bathurst St. for Assunta Tornambe.
Born May 4, 1931, (89 years) of age.
Daughter of Giovanna and Francesco Geraci , widowed by Stefano Tornambe survived by daughter Bina L Greco and (husband) Frank Greco and son Steve Tornambe and (wife) Angela Tornambe, Grandchildren Joe Greco Amy Greco (wife ), Frank JR. Greco and Tammy Greco (wife), Kathleen Mc Gee and Dan McGee (husband) also survived by great grandchildren Metao Greco, Mihailo Greco, Leo Mc Gee, Natalie Greco and Dean Greco.
Assunta was born and raised in Montallegro Sicilia,where she helped her mother and siblings bake bread for the community well into her teenage life. When she found the opportunity to come to Canada, she wanted to pursue a better life. After spending one year in Canada and with the arrival of her fiancé they married.
Donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada in memory of Assunta Tornambe would be appreciated by the family.

Gatherings will be limited to up to 50 people at a time in a visitation suite. When coming for a visitation, guests are asked to pay their respects to the deceased, acknowledge the family from a safe distance and exit the suite. Guest seating has been arranged to maintain physical distancing and will remain in place for all services and visitation in the funeral home. Once guests exit the visitation suite, we kindly ask them to exit the funeral home to allow other guests the same opportunity.
