Obituary

In eternal memory of Ewhenia Curkowskyj (née Diakowycz) who passed away peacefully on May 24, 2024 surrounded by family, now reunited with her husband, parents, siblings, and grand-daughter.

Loving spouse, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, she is pre-deceased by her husband (Adrian Curkowskyj – July 05, 1998), siblings (Stefania, Cecilia, Olga, Walter) and grand-daughter (Christina). Ewhenia was the cherished mother of Roman, Bohdan, and Stephan and loving grandmother of Josyf, Christopher, Mykola, Thomas, Sophia, and Luka.

Her gentle, kind, and life-loving nature touched all, her smile soothing the toughest moments. Her ever-present willingness to help gave motivation and hope in times of need. She was a gifted artist with a natural eye for detail – evident in her intricate Pysanky (Ukrainian Easter Eggs) and embroidery which took countless of hours, incredible effort and patience to create.

A special thank you to the nursing staff at the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre for their dedication and support for our mother in her final years.

Though she has left us, she will forever remain in our hearts.

Мамо, твоя ласка, ніжність, розуміння і любов залишаться з нами назавжди!

Вічная Пам'ять!
