Obituary

Josephine (Osypa) Mec 1917-2015 Passed away peacefully with family at her side on October 18, 2015 at the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centr in her 98th year. Josephine was predeceased by her loving husband Stanley and her brother Peter. Loving mother of 4 children: George (Hanya); Anna (Randolph); Daria; Roman (Debbie). Grandmother to Natalie (Dex); Roman; Natalie (Joe); Bohdan (Oksana); Julia; Taras (Denise); Adrian; Laryssa (Jonathan). Great-grnadmother to: Ruslan and Arianna Laluck; Boris, Marko and Katarina Bilkic; Victoria Gorecki. She will be lovingly remembered by her brother Roman (Ursula) and family; nieces Ivanka and Oksana with their families in Lviv, Ukraine and by her many friends and clients from “Josephine’s Beauty Salon”. Josephine will be forever remembered for her flair and love of fashion, her sense of humour, quick wit, as well as her zest for life. Our family wishes to express their appreciation to the caring staff at the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre with special thanks to Eva Labedzki, Oxana Mamysheva and Dr. D. Bitonti for their devotion and compassion. Visitation at the Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette St (at Keele) on Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Panachyda at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass at the Ukrainian Canandian Care Centre Chapel on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Volodymyr Cemetery, Oakville. In lieu of flowers donations to the U.C.C.C. would be greatly appreciated.
