Obituary

It’s with sadness that we announce the passing of Julia Korosec on March 12 at the age of 78 after a short battle with cancer. She passed peacefully at home with her family, husband Jernej and sons Dan (Julie) and Boris (Tanya) by her side. As a Ukrainian, she immigrated to Canada via Poland with 2 of her 7 siblings, sisters Eva and Cathy in the mid 60’s. Julia loved her 2 boys and 3 grandchildren. She enjoyed her house of 50 years in Bloorwest village and relished walking and shopping in the neighbourhood.  We will cherish the fond memories we shared together with her. May she Rest In Peace.

Very sorry to hear about Julia's passing. We crossed paths many many times on Durie St when I walked my dog. Time of day & type of weather didn't keep her in as we acknowledged each other when our paths crossed.

Our condolences to the Korosec family. There are not enough words to write here as you were like a second Mom to me (Mark) growing up. Thank you for all the memories, ‘Ma’, I’ll forever miss you! ❤️
