Obituary

With sadness we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother, Katheryna (Katya) Chmilenko, in her 93rd year. She passed away Saturday December 21, 2019, at the Ivan Franko Long Term Care home. Born February 2, 1927, in Ukraine, Stebliv, Cherkaska oblast. She came to Canada in 1949, after the Second World War with her husband Benjamin. She is survived by her daughter Vera, her son Victor (Sheona), her grandsons Luke (Christina, great-granddaughter Anastasia Sophia), Andy and Mykolai. Our love to you Mama and Baba, you will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made in Katheryna’s memory to the Canadian Arthritis Society.
