That generation is shrinking to about a few still living. I always remember my aunts and uncles as part of my childhood growing up. When we first came to Canada in 1966, we went straight from the airport to tia Liduina’s house. She had set the table full of goodies and it was the first time that I was introduced to 7Up and potato chips!! Back then it was not considered junk food!!
She lived a secluded life ,yet she was aware of what was going on in the world. She taught herself how to read English and
was especially gifted in math.
She had a great memory and knew all the dates and details of family history. Her sense of righteousness was very strong and she applied to her life.
These are just a few of my memories.
May she Rest In Peace!
