Obituary

It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of Lindaura Medeiros announces her peaceful passing on November 1st, 2023 at the age of 89. She was a strong, loving, courageous, and patient matriarch who embraced life with all its challenges. As a devout Catholic, she humbly welcomed these challenges trusting they too would pass. She now rests in eternal glory with her parents, siblings, and daughter. Lindaura leaves her family with life lessons of peace, strivings for self-improvement, and lessons to love one another wholeheartedly and selflessly. She was not only a mother and grandmother to many but a teacher, mentor, and confidant.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Orlanda (Gabriel), Bernadette (Leo), Goretti (Eddie), Carlos (Natalie), Armindo (Maria), Joe (Tina), and Grace; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Ester Furtado, Lidia Cordeiro, Estrela Luz; and her nephews & nieces.

She was predeceased by her husband Agostinho DeMedeiros, daughter Linda Maiato, and her parents Estrela Piedade Da Luz and Jose Cabral Luz.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lindaura DeMedeiros’ name to The Alzheimer Society of Toronto and/or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
