Obituary

“Mom" What a special soul; she always put her children's needs before her very own. She raised us with love & compassion and always tried to fulfill all our needs. She had 4 children, 3 boys and me the only girl. The family moved to Canada in 1967, to start the better life that this country offered. The sacrifice was real. Mom was a homemaker and there was nothing she saw at a store that she didn’t come home to make instead. She made most of our clothing which at times we would rather not wear, we laughed at little and cursed a little. There are many fond memories of how we were raised. Meals were always homemade; no restaurants for her. She didn’t like pizza and burgers like the rest of the world. Yes, mom was unique. She had 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren were her pride & joy. She only got to know 2 great-grandchildren before she was struck down with 2 stokes in 2008. These left her with much brain damage and she lost most of her mobility. She spent the remainder of her life in a nursing home. In 1997 Mom lost Dad to cancer and in the coming years she lost 2 sons to cancer as well: Dennis in 2015 and Carlos in 2017. Mom leaves a big footprint in our lives and much sorrow in our hearts. She will be sadly missed. I know she was happy to see Dad but, shocked to see 2 of her children predeceased. R.I.P. Mom, you will forever live in our hearts. I’m sure you carry us with you in yours. Love you forever Mom... till we meet again.

Mom....the hollow feeling I have in my heart since your passingi is now replaced with memories of all the years we had together. In exchange for our pain and sorrow your loved ones await for you in joy. You are now in gods garden with dad and 2 of your children and so many other loved ones. R.I.P. mom, I will always carry you in my heart.
