Schnayder, Maria – after a brief illness on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Runnymede Healthcare Centre in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Dmytro. Loving aunt to John and his wife Jean. Great-aunt to Arisa. Dear cousin to Danusia and her family. Maria will be fondly remembered by all her family and friends in Canada and Ukraine. The family wishes to thank the staff of Runnymede Healthcare Centre for their excellent care. Family and friends may call at Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette St. (just east of Keele) on Sunday, April 27th from 6 – 9 p.m. Panachyda at 7:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at Cardinal Funeral Home on Monday, April 28th at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Volodymyr Cemetery.Visitation

My condolensces to the family. Maria, my token aunt had watched over me, had given me tons of advice and stories as I was growing up, and even later, and I am deeply sorry I missed her funeral. Unfortunately, Danusha just told me 2 weeks ago at the cottage.
May she rest in peace without the pain.
