Obituary

April 8, 1922 – March 27, 2018   It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing in the comfort of her own home in her 96^th year. Born in Bokiw, Ternopilska oblast , Ukraine. Beloved wife of the late Steve Mision (2001). Loving mother of Steve (Rubi) and Lesia. We thank each and every caregiver who provided our mother with loving care over the many years since our father passed away.  A very special thank you to her beloved caregivers Ailie and Czarinah who provided dedicated, loving and compassionate care to our mother for many years. We will never forget their dedication. We would also like to thank all our family and friends who provided us with emotional support and assistance during the last years of mom’s life. We extend our thanks to the nursing staff of Spectrum, especially Jolanta and Elizabeth, nursing staff of VON, to Dr. DeGroot, Dr. Mavrogiannis and Dr. Popadynec for providing the medical support to allow us to keep mom in her own home. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the many PSWs from CBI WeCare and SRT, staff and volunteers from Dorothy Ley Hospice, Mississauga-Halton LHIN staff and physiotherapists from Closing the Gap who provided such great support, care and assistance. Michalina leaves behind extended family and friends in Ukraine, Canada and United States. Resting at the Cardinal Funeral Home, Annette Chapel, 92 Annette St. (near Keele St.) on Tuesday April 3, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Panakhyda at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service to be held at All Saints of Ukraine Chapel on Wednesday April 4, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.  Internment at St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Cemetery, 1280 Dundas St. W. Oakville. Reception to follow at St. Volodymyr Cultural Centre, Oakville . In lieu of flowers, family would appreciate donations to the Ukrainian Catholic Sobor of the Holy Protection Elevator Fund, 30 Leeds St., Toronto, ON M6G 3R8 or the Alzheimer Society. Vichnaya Pamyat! Eternal Memory!
