Obituary
Nadya Konopyd was born in Donbass Ukraine on April 29, 1925 and passed away March 13, 2013. What a wonderful and fulfilling life she led after emigrating to Canada in 1948! She is survived by her daughter Rya and son Roman, five grand children (Alexandra, Meghan, Brendon, Sean and Ryan) and two great grand children (Sierra and Ryla), a wonderful legacy! Nadya will be buried next to her loving husband of 61 years Vasyl Konopyd at the Oakville Cemetery, who pre-deceased her on October 12, 2004.Visitation

I never had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Konopud, but I worked closely with Roman for a short time. Roman is the ultimate gentleman; always extremely polite and considerate. He credited his mother with that. He was very attentive to his mother; always checking on her and helping her in any way he could. No doubt she was a great mother and amazing lady to inspire such devotion. My sincere condolences to all the Konopud family,
