Obituary

It is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Nellie Hyduk (nee Kulick) in her 97th year at the Scarborough Hospital on January 24, 2016. Predeceased by her Beloved husband John Hyduk, Loving mother of the late William Hyduk (Sandra) and the late Judy Hyduk. Loving and proud grandmother of Denis (Sharon) and Vallery Hyduk (Sean Duranovich). Great-grandmother of Molly and Thomas Hyduk and Xzana and Violet Duranovich. She was predeceased by her brothers John, Bill and Peter Kulick and her sister Olive Oswald. She will be missed by her sisters Mary Henry and Helen Lewis and all her many nieces and nephews. She is remembered fondly by family and friends in Manitoba, Ontario and England. Nellie was a kind, loving, creative and very strong person whose passion for life, loving and giving has enriched the lives of all who knew her. The family would like to express it’s deep gratitude for the kind and compassionate care Nellie received from the dedicated staff of the Cedarbrook Lodge Retirement Residence and the palliative care department of the Scarborough Hospital. They made her final journey a peaceful one. Resting at the Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette St., on Thursday, January 28th from 6 to 8 pm, with Panakhyda at 7 pm. Funeral service to be held at the Cardinal Funeral Home on Friday, January 29th at 10am. Burial at Beechwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated by the family to the Ukrainian Museum of Canada-Ontario Branch at 620 Spadina Road, Toronto, ON, M5S 2H4 or online at umcontario.com.
