It truly saddens me to see the end of a generation of our family. Auntie Nettie lived a very full and interesting life. To me, she was a practical person who was able to deal with the ups and downs in life in a clear and logical fashion. Her family was the most important thing to her and it was only when dealing with matters that involved them that she sometimes let her emotions take over. She suffered the losses of each of her family members with heartbreak, yet I believe she was very pragmatic about her own death and didn't fear it. I was always surprised at how up to date she was on current affairs. She enjoyed talking about articles in the newspaper and posed insightful questions. She was always thinking and learning. I will remember her jokes, her spontaneous, loud laughter, the kindness and care she took when she provided me with recipes and cooking instructions when I asked for them, her rock solid memory for numbers and dates and the delight that she felt when she recited them. The Peter and Mary Rodych family is now complete in heaven. Rest in peace With love and affection, Arlene and John

The Palka Family, Helen, Steven and Karen were very saddened to learn of Nettie passing. We will always remember Nettie as a wonderful warm hearted person. Nettie always made time to call her cousin Olga Shewchuk, Helen's Mother and grandmother to Steven and Karen. There was always laughter, jokes to tell, great recipies to share and excellent business advice. After Olgas passing, Nettie continued to keep in touch with our family. We loved talking to Nettie and was always happy to be part of Netties life. We are going to really miss Nettie and want you to know how much we loved Nettie. We were grateful to have spoken with Nettie on Christmas and to let Nettie know how much we loved her. Our sincere sympathies to your family for your great loss of a wonderful woman. Love Helen, Steven and Karen
