Obituary
OKTAVIA MANULAK (nee Hurczak) (September 17, 1928 - January 7, 2021). Loving wife of Wasyl Manulak (deceased May 25, 1992). Beloved mother of Monica Sosin (Peter) and Bohdan Manulak (Christina). Adoring Baba to Michael (Jee) and Daniel (Mari). Proud great-grandmother to Theodore and Sophia. Predeceased by her brother, Eugene Hurczak (Erika) and wonderful aunt to Gary and Erik. Oktavia was a dear wife, mother, baba and friend, who was loved and cherished by everyone who knew her and will be sadly missed by all. Oktavia will be laid to rest beside her husband, Wasyl, at St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Cemetary, Oakville and will join him and their many friends and family in heaven. To our dearest Mother and Baba, we have all been very blessed to have you in our lives and you will always be in our thoughts and prayers. May God bless you forever. With All Our Love, Your Family.
To our family and friends, we thank you for your love and support during this difficult time. A mass and celebration of Oktavia's life will follow at a later date, when gatherings are safely permitted. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
Due to the current pandemic restrictions and under direction from our regulator, the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, effective November 23, 2020 all funerals and visitations will be by invitation only to limit the number of people in attendance and prevent the spread of COVID-19. We encourage those that are unable to attend in person please reach out to the family to obtain a live stream link using Zoom.
