It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of

Sally on Friday June 23, 2006. Born in Liverpool, England August 17th, 1921, she was Pre-deceased by her husband, Victor of Port Nelson, Newfoundland in 1999. Beloved mother of Bob (& Roxann) and Harry (& Linda). Devoted grandmother of Julia and Jennifer. Loving sister of Tommy, John, Bob, Harry, Lil, Sue, Dinah and Mary. Best friend and cousin of Mary "Mac" Roberts. Sally will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew her. Special thanks to Diane & Sylvia of the palliative care unit.Friends will be received at the Cardinal Funeral Home (715 Dovercourt Road, below Bloor) on Wednesday June 28, 2006 from 11 - 12 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 12 p.m. In consideration of scent allergies, flowers are gratefully declined. Hello Sending my belated condolences on the Loss of your mother grandmother Sally My name is Anne née Irwin My Irwin family were neighbours with the Lang family inKiverpool in thec1950's The Irwin family lived in 27 Thornbury Road Anfield Liverpool The Lang fsmily Ma & Pop Lang and children lived opposite in number 26 Thornbury Road Anfumield Liverpool It was very sad to hear about Sally's passing only recently It brough back fond memories of Sally & family & my childhood days My Mum and Sally were friends I recall being childhood friends with Harry Burton both if us wearing Davy Crocket hats (Harrys iwn hat and mine possibly Bobbies hat bought from Canada )Myself &Harry as young children were always singing the then popular song Davy Crocket and playing cowboy games at number 26 Harry &I also went to the local cinema to see Calamity Jane when we were children My young uncle took us to the Ritz cinema Sally was a lovely kind caring person beautiful I recall All the Lang family were warm welcoming & a great part of my childhood was spent at 26 Your grandmother grew grandmother Ma Lang took me to the Salvation Army church on Thursdays each week as a child Things were never the same when Sally ,Vic ,Bobby & Harry left for Canada Ma Lang died then Pop Lang was alone My motherc looked out for Pop a lot Then we later had new neighbours it was never the same I hope that you all had a wonderful life in Canada That your mother Sally had a peaceful death and your father Vic also . I hope both of you Harry Bobby and families are well happy thriving I hope over the years that you recall many happy memories of your parents Ihooe too you have fond memories of your Liverpool childhood & grandparent's neighbours and find memories of Liverpool too Best wishes to you all Anne née Irwin Nelson
