It is such a great lost to the world now that Shirley is gone. I have so many fond memories of Shirley, her beautiful laugh, her smile, her way with people, her extreme love for her family, and her openeness to new things. I especially loved how she fearlessly questioned things in a special way to always find a better way. She will always have a special place in my heart forever. My deep condolences for all Shirley's family. Love Heather

Dear Bill - my condolences to you and your family over the passing of your Mother. Although I met her only once, I can still remember thinking what a lovely lady she was. I also remember her teaching me the best and easiest way to eat crab legs!

It is with a heavy heart that I type these condolences. Lately I have missed talking to "Aunt" Shirley on the phone from Nova Scotia, because of her failing health. I have very fond memories of her and Frank and they were so kind to let me stay with them when I came to visit. I made Frank Beer Can Chicken on the BBQ. "Not chicken again" Frank said and I said it is made with beer. He cleaned his plate off. We would get into some fierce cards/crib games and Frank would get so mad when Shirley or myself beat him and we would gang up on him and rub it it. I wish that I could be with all of you, but know that you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I hope eventually your tears will be replaced with smiles when you think of all of the great memories that you have of Shirley and Frank. Love Your Cousin from Halifax Nova Scotia,
