Obituary
Stephania Kosmyna (neé Kyk), born September 30, 1920 in Pukiw, Ukraine, died peacefully in her sleep on April 8, 2014. She was surrounded by the family she loved, and nurtured throughout her life. She is survived by her daughters Maria Szkambara and Lesa Semcesen; her sons-in-law Stefan Szkambara and Jaroslav Semcesen ; her grandchildren Luba Szkamabara, Andrian Semcesen and Katherine Semcesen and their spouses Douglas Chomyn, Lecia Boyko-Semcesen, and Kosta Constantakis, and her great-grandchildren Lucas and Alexander Semcesen. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to the Ukrainian Canadian Social Services – Pomich Ukrainu Fund. Funds donated in Stephania’s name will be directed towards assistance for the families of the “Heavenly 100”, who died on Kyiv’s Maidan.
