Born November 4, 1928 in Pidhaitsi, Ukraine.At her residence on Friday, December 30, 2005. Beloved wife of Wasyl. Loving mother of Ron and his wife Mary, George and his wife Larysa, Eugene, Steve and his wife Christine and Zenon and his wife Olenka. Devoted grandmother of Lydia, Anton, Helen and Nikolas. Dear sister of Sophie Chorney and her husband Steve, and Olia Bobyk and her husband Lubomyr. Predeceased by her parents Ilya and Genia Yaschyshyn and by her brother George Yaschyshyn. Stephanie will be sadly missed by her many friends and extended family in Canada and Ukraine.
The family will receive friends at the Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette Street (near Keele) on Sunday from 5-9 pm with Panachida at 6 pm, and Monday from 2-4 & 6-9 pm with Panachida at 7 pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 am, then to St. Josaphat's Cathedral for Mass at 10 am. Interment to follow, Glendale Memorial Gardens.
