Obituary
LISOWSKI, Wanda (nee Skierniewski) - Born in Radom, Kieleckie, Poland. The events of WWII took her to Siberia, then onto Koja, Uganda and finally settling in Sudbury, Ontario in 1948. Former owner, with her deceased husband Francziszek of Fortuna Flower Shop in Toronto. Peacefully, at Copernicus Lodge on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Francziszek Lisowski. Mother of Sophie Ringrose (James) of Campbell's Bay, Quebec, Helen Zulys-Baker (Nicholas) of Toronto, Ontario and Frances Hachborn (Malcolm) of Barrie, Ontario. Lovingly remembered by 9 grandchildren: Christopher, Julian, Stephanie (Derek) and Donna Ringrose, Matthew and Richard Zulys and Danielle, Ellen and Gillian Hachborn. Predeceased by an infant son Albert and her sister Phyllis Rychlicki. Survived by her brother Mike (Mietek) Skierniewski. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Copernicus Lodge for their loving care and Dr. M. Valadka. The family will receive friends at the Cardinal Funeral Home, 366 Bathurst St. (north of Dundas), on Monday, April 27th from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 28th at 10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church (12 Denison Ave.). Interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Copernicus Lodge Foundation or to St. Joseph's Health Centre, Toronto.Visitation
