My deepest condolences to all who knew her and her family. I know she will now find the peace that eluded her here on earth. Bernice was brave and unique individual. I have known her for over 30 years, even if only to say hello and share a chat. And boy, she could chat! She was kind and had a great sense of humour. I will miss her happy 'hello honey!" coming from across the street whenever and wherever she saw me...I smile now as I type at the memory but am saddened by the fact I will not hear it again. She carried herself with self respect and dignity throughout an event that would have broken many.....but Bernice remained strong and determined and emerged perhaps even a stronger person for it - a tremendous feat. Parkdale will not be the same without you. Rest well Bernice, you have earned it.

Bernice is now in heaven with her daughter Kaitlynn💕💐🧸🐦🌺🌟💫✨🥀🎀I met Bernice when I lived on Jameson Ave in Parkdale.She was always funny, friendly, brave and a strong woman who endured many heartbreaks and unfair treatment in life along with glitches in the corrupt system.I may relate to her as being a victim of major crimes and crimes committed against my babies and children that were illegally stolen from me along with no help from the Toronto police .As the heartbreak lasts daily, I have a strong faith in the Lord my saviour father God in heaven and Jesus and I pray that one day too, I will be reunited with my illegally stolen babies and children in heaven as well and my faith keeps me going day by day💕✨💫🌟🌺🐦🧸💐🎀🥀☮️💕R.i.p. I’ve lived down the street from Bernice for a good many years, but only got to know her in the last few. She was skeptical of me at our first introduction, but I’m grateful I had the chance to change her mind, and we had many good chats. She never failed to call out a friendly hello from down the block or across the street if we saw each other in passing. She helped make our little stretch of King feel like home. She will be missed.
