Obituary
A beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend, Flora Babakhani left this world unexpectedly, on January 14, 2022.
She was born on March 14, 1977 in Montreal, Quebec, the daughter of Mario Babakhani and Adriana Valeri.
Flora’s life journey included living in Iran, Italy, Hungary, Scotland and Canada, gathering traditions and customs from each culture and forming the worldly person that she became.
Graduating from Western University with a BA and Wilfred Laurier with a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting she worked as a Financial Controller both in Canada and in Scotland, gaining invaluable experience along the way.
Not being the typical accountant, she was a dreamer who loved travel and adventure and most of all she was a people person. Her bubbly personality and compassion to both friends and strangers made her the fun-loving woman that she was. No dream was unattainable for Flora.
In the past few years her most important dream was to become a mother and, in her determination, she made it happen. Her beautiful baby girl was born on November 5, 2021.
She leaves behind her daughter, Amber, her mother Adriana, her father Mario (Kirstin), sister Mimi (Jonathan), brother’s Simon and Eric, Andrew and Christopher and so many family members and friends in Canada, Italy, Iran, UK, Sweden and elsewhere in the world.
When you think of Flora, celebrate the good memories and fun times that you had with her. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest.
