Jo-Anne Lee Rogers Sept 20, 1954 to June 26, 2012 Peacefully our beloved Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother Jo-Anne was taken from us on June 26, 2012 . She is survived by her 3 children Ali Rogers Jamaal and his wife Alia Rogers and Miriam and her husband Balal Rogers and 13 wonderful grandchildren, 3 siblings Robert and his wife Lina Wilson, Randy Jackson and Shelley and her husband Jeffrey Murrell. She is predeceaced by her mother and father Arnold and Joan Jackson and 2 brothers Teddy, (Vanessa Jackson- Sister In Law) and Clay Jackson. She will be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews, friends and roommates. Family and friends will be received at Cardinal Funeral Homes (366 Bathurst Street, just north of Dundas St.) on Thursday June 28, 2012 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Cardinal Funeral Home Chapel on Friday June 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Mrs Rogers will be laid to rest at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.Visitation

To my big sis what a wonderful send off you had today. I'm gonna miss our talks we had every day sometimes 2 or 3 times a day.Ali and Jamaal taught me wonderful things about you that I didn't know as I said you were the teacher as you taught us sooo many things you even taught your big brother things as I found out today. between Ali, Jamaal and Bobby you all said some very powerful things that had the whole room in laughter , tears , and amazement I just want to say thx for sharing there was so much feelings and thought put into every speach it was beautiful gonna miss you much sis R.I.P.

There is so much I could say about lovely Joanne. What stands out for me is what a wise and loving woman she was. We had many late night coloring parties where I listened to her share stories about her family, her younger days, her beliefs and thoughts about the world. To my surprise and delight, Joanne loved to sing and we spent quite a few Saturday nights singing pop songs together. You may be my lucky star, but I'm the luckiest by far. Joanne welcomed me into her heart and life the first time we met and knowing her has had a tremendous impact on me. I will never forget your wise and beautiful words or the way your eyes twinkled when you laughed. Love you, Joanne, rest easy my friend and may your heaven be everything you dreamed it would be.
