It was with great sadness that I heard of Lynda's passing. Although we were reunited only a short time ago her warmth and humour shone through. Communication was often challenging, but her enormous pride and love for her 3 children was always evident. She was so delighted to be able to hold her grandchild in her arms. My last memory of her is pushing her wheelchair along College St., her eyes squinting as she held her face up to the winter sun, her right hand indicating which path she wanted to take. Living the moment with relish and grace. My sincere condolences to the family for their loss.

This message is largely for Amanda, but also for the whole family. I have only just come on board working with Amanda at ARCH in recent months. Amanda has spoken about her mom with such a beautiful and proud joy, that it is obvious that she had a powerful and incredible spirit in helping others in this world. Again, although I never met Lynda, or the rest of the family, her love for others carries on. I have a feeling Lynda must be looking down with that same pride at Amanda (and all the other children) in her love and caring for others. Amanda pours every ounce of her being into caring and helping others with disabilities going through difficult times. The beautiful thing is, she does it with a sense of fun and uplifting. It's pretty clear that Lynda was a spectacular person. Much love and hugs to all of you. Sue Hutton, from ARCH.

I send my sincere sympathy to all who loved Lynda, but particularly Amanda, my co-worker at ARCH Disability Law Centre for many years. It was from Amanda that I learned of Lynda as a most loving and insightful person who had been such a great mother for her children, and who was so courageous for many years.

Hi, I am Amanda's colleague at work. We've only known each other for one year - but through that time I have gotten to know Amanda, I also felt like I got to know her mum. I was greatly saddened to hear of her passing, and send my heartfelt love to Amanda and family and friends in this time of grief. I feel lucky to have gotten a glimpse of this incredible woman. I can't imagine the positive impact she has had on so many people's lives. Take good care and love to all. Johanna.
