Today, I thought of your mom, Maria Giancotti, formerly Maria Cabral. I decided to look her up for us to touch up again and learned she has passed away. She was my dear friend when we were growing up. I lived on Manning Avenue and she lived on Claremont. It`s a sad day for me finding out she`s passed on and it broke my heart. My deepest condolences to your family and may she Rest In Peace.

The Caetano Family
We are deeply sorry and saddened by your loss. She was a wonderful person, so sweet and kind, always ready to say good morning and see how everyone is doing. My husband and I have lived across the street for nearly 11 years, and looked forward to seeing Maria, whom we have always known as Francine, whenever we saw her especially when she took her two cute dogs out for a walk every day. Our boys who are 9 and 7, are also deeply saddened by this news, as they two loved talking to her and playing with the girls/dogs. She will be greatly missed. We apologize for not making it to her service but we only heard this sad news this morning. Sending you all of our love, thoughts and our prayers. I still can't believe she is gone. Love, always, The Caetano Family, Sandy and Nelson, and our boys Antonio and Nelson Jr.

My heat goes out to your family. I first met Maria at shoppers when I was a new mom to my first child. Over the last 5 years, she has watched my children grow up. She always greeted us with a smile and knew us by name. She spoke fondly of her family and was one of the proudest grandmothers I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She always had a smile and sometimes beautiful hand made gifts for my boys. They embraced her as thier "Toronto grandma" as we have no relatives in town. Maria was a kind woman in every sense of the word. Her presence will be greatly missed in the neighbourhood. I feel blessed to have known her and will miss her. My sincere condolences to your family. Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Maria. Words cannot express how heavy our hearts are to hear of this news. Maria was always and will always remain in our memories as a lovely person. She was a kind and loving cousin. She always had a genuine smile when she greeted us. Always had kind words for us and alway welcoming us with open arms. We have many fond memories of our trips to Toronto in the early years. Helen Keller said...The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart. May your heart be touched with fond memories of her and know as you share those memories she will always remain close to your heart. We wish her family peace and comfort during this difficult time. How sad this day is to hear of Maria's passing. She was such a kind and gentle soul, always a heartfelt word for everyone. Maria's smile was enough to make one comfortable. I always enjoyed our conversations anytime we met up over the years. She is one who will not be forgotten and truly leaves this world a better place. Losing a Mother is one of life's greatest heartaches. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family . Bonnie & John DeCaria
