Such a sad day today when I discovered that my friend of 50 years + had passed. We were students together in Strasbourg. I saw you, Isabelle, when you were but a few months old, and my husband Jon met you when you were in college in Toronto. Francine came twice to see us in DC,, and each time, we had a wonderful time. I am so sad for you Isabelle. Your Mom loved you so much and she was so proud of you. I had missed her letters for a while, did not know she had Alzheimer. How tragic. I will miss her gentleness of heart, her constant friendship, her beautiful smile (just like on the picture) and her toughness in face of too many hard times. My sincere condolences to you, Michael and Sammi.
