To the Kulyk Family, Sincere condolences for your loss. Oksana was a wonderful, warm, fun-loving person. I will never forget her beautiful smile and her laughter that was so infectious: she made everyone laugh. She will be missed greatly! I am quite sure that she is in a better place and pain free. Fondest regards, Carmela Lacquaniti (an old highschool classmate).

It was very difficult saying my last "Good-bye" to your wife and mother. Oksana was my last connection to my elementary school days. We would always walk together to elemetary school; sang our first official performance in a trio at a VIP event - grade graduation!!!; walked to and from our high school years; played on the volleyball & basketball teams. She is really the end of a large chapter in my life. I will miss her in many ways. GOD BLESS HER SOUL AND YOUR WHOLE FAMILY.

Your longtime friend, Barbara Zaprzala
The world will never quite be the same without our friend Oksana. Her larger-than-life presence made an indelible impression on everyone who knew her. From my earliest memories of her from our high school days, to more recent good times at my cottage, parties, and gatherings of our high school friends, Oksana's gusty laugh, love of music and dance and joie de vivre were always in evidence. I can't think of anyone who enjoyed a good time more. She was a unique character. Her boundless energy was infectious, and she could make me laugh like few other people in my entire life ever could. I will so miss our phone calls and emails, sharing a joke about her favourite Dancing with the Stars, or some news about her latest family get together. Her family was the center of her world, and she was so proud of her beautiful, accomplished daughters, and she took such joy from all her new grandchildren. It is so comforting to know that she had a chance to see them come into this world, and enjoy them during the time she had with us. Her courage and determination to enjoy what life had to offer, even while she was fighting through the pain, was truly incredible, and will be an inspiration to everyone who witnessed it. Goodbye my friend. May you find peace and happiness in the journey that lies ahead.

My heart goes out to the family. Oksana and I knew each other since she arrived in Toronto. To this day, and about 50 yrs later my brother-in-law's mother dislikes me because we locked him in the bathroom and took the key out. We were around 10 yrs old. Oksana is now at peace. She suffered a lot in this life...only those close to her would know. Her daughters were her life! They were her backbone! I will always remember as I was leaving the hospital and she took my hand, squeezed it and cried and cried and at the same time asking me to do a special request once she is gone.. Sleep well with the Angels, my friend!

One's mother is perhaps the most precious person in our lives because they not only give us birth but they nurture us, sacrifice for us, support us during our sorrows and get tremendous joy and pride from our happiness and accomplishments. May she always be with you in your hearts. We share in your loss. ~ P.A.D.L. Woloszansky

My memories of my old friend Oksana will live on in my heart forever. I know that whereever she is now (in her perfectly decorated house in the sky I'll bet) she would burst into her usual laughter with the mere mention of some of our antics over the years.A sudden reference to what happened when we helped make varenyky at Camp Kyiv where our kids were counsellors was enough to keep us laughing all evening. Or reminiscing about our days and evenings at Veselka when our kids were campers and the practial jokes we played there were priceless. And the silly Halloween fun we had parading thru Toronto in costume unexpectedly running into people we knew- usually our kids' friends was cause for more laughter. Then there were the lazy nights on the patio during summer vacation when we drank cocktails, laughed and talked till 3 a.m. Other times - Malanka, skating parties when you showed up in your long blond Halloween wig and a fur coat and skated like that with everyone holding you up. Oksana, you knew how to have fun. You loved your family and you loved life. I love you and I will miss you, my 'laughing buddy'. I truly thought we we would have many more years left of this silliness. But i guess it was time for you to go. Till our next laugh together - rest in peace dear friend and neighbour. Genya

My deepest sympathies go to Oksana's husband and her four daughters, whom she loved more than life itself. She was so proud of each and every one and her goal in life was always to see them have a place in this world. Your dreams were accomplished, my friend! When we were back in high school, not knowing what life would bring, we never imagined that the battle can also be at death, not just in the day-to-day struggle to live. The suffering has ended, and now may you rest in peace. We will never forget you, Oksana.
