Obituary

Olga Lewinsky – We are sad to announce the passing of Olga Lewinsky (nee Olynyk) of natural causes at the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre on Tuesday, May 25th, 2010 in her 100th year. Predeceased by her dearly beloved husband Julian Lewinsky, sons Edward and William and grandson Adam. She will be sadly missed by her son Don, her daughters-in-law Olga and Oksana. Cherished grandmother to Edward (Joanne), Steve (Kelly), Roman (Kim), William (Lesia) and Larry (Kim). Great grandmother to Kyle, Michael, Kasey, Laurisa. Abby, Brooke, Bradley, Ryan, Amanda and Don Jr. Also remembered by her niece Irene Petruk. She was born on April 30th, 2010 in Ukraine and left for Canada in 1926 where she met and married Julian Lewinsky. They moved from Toronto to Thunder Bay (formerly Fort William), had their family and eventually moved back to Toronto. She was a member of St. Demetrius Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Long Branch. Baba will be lovingly remembered by all of her family and friends for her great love of family, gleeful laughs and loving hands. Friends will be received at Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette St., Toronto for visitation on Thursday, May 27th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Panachyda will be held at 7:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 28th at 9:00 a.m. at St. Demetrius Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 3338 Lakeshore Blvd. W., Long Branch (meeting directly at church) with interment to follow at Park Lawn Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy to the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre, 60 Richview, Etobicoke, ON would be appreciated by the family.
