I was in one of Rae's classes around 2010-2011 and remember her as being helpful, knowledgable, and easy to talk to. So devastating to hear that she has passed - hope she is at peace now, and condolences to her family and friends. <3

She was my professor at OCAD in 2009. I really enjoyed her lectures and have always thought of her as an inspiration. My sincere condolences for your loss.

I find it hard to put into words how I feel. Dear Joslyn and June, my heart goes out to you. We have lost a friend, the world has lost a great artist and a beautiful person, but you have lost your mother. I will think of you and embrace you with love and light.

Adrian you have my deepest sympathies. It’s hard to lose anyone close to us, but hardest might be a mother. I was not aware she was a victim of this illness, that in itself is hard to imagine. Keep your memories of times with her close, in time they will be the greatest comfort.

Sincere condolences to Joslyn and June. Rae has left an incredible legacy, not only with you two, but with the incredible body of work she created. Writing this from Flesherton where I first met her circa 1989.

Dear Joslyn, June, Adrian and Riccardo...a heartfelt sympathy: The Rose Beyond The Wall....A.L. Frink Near a shady wall a rose once grew, Budded and blossomed in God's free light, Watered and fed by the morning dew, Shedding its sweetness day and night. As it grew and blossomed fair and tall, Slowly rising to loftier height, It came to a crevice in the wall Through which there shine a beam of light. Onward it crept with added strength, With never a thought of fear or pride, It followed the light through the crevice's length And unfolded itself on the other side. The light, the dew, the broadening view Were found the same as they were before, And it lost itself in beauties new, Breathing its fragrance more and more. Shall claim of death cause us to grieve And make our courage faint and fall? Nay! Let us faith and hope receive -- The rose still grows beyond the wall, Scattering fragrance far and wide Just as it did in days of yore, Just as it did on the other side, Just as it will forever-more. 🥀 Rest In Peace.....Rae.... 💕💕💕Marisa
