"Due to the current pandemic restrictions and under direction from our regulator, the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, effective November 23, 2020 all funerals and visitations will be by invitation only to limit the number of people in attendance and prevent the spread of COVID-19. We encourage those that are unable to attend in person to express their sympathy by posting a message of condolence to our website, donating to a charity of your choice in memory of your loved one or by sending flowers to the funeral home."1929 — 2021It is with deep sadness our family announces the passing of our cousin Steve (Stefan) Turylo on Monday February 1, 2021 at the age of 92. Steve was born and raised in the village of Koropiec Ukraine. As a young man and in pursuit of better prospects, Steve along with his father, made the bold decision to immigrate to Canada. They took advantage of the tremendous opportunities that were being offered and decided to settle in Toronto. Steve was a general labourer throughout his working years until retired. Steve was predeceased by his parents Georgil and Paraskoviia, his brothers Alex and Fitco, cousins Michael and Ronald Wasilishin. Steve leaves behind, niece Julie (Nadia) Wargo (Turylo), cousin Mary Kushnirenko and extended family and relatives in the Ukraine as well as 2nd cousin Lynne Kushnirenko, Steve, Terry and Lesia Wasilishin He also leaves behind his companion Olga Radzihovskaia. Steve’s funeral will be held at Cardinal Funeral Home on Annette on February 6, 2021 and will be laid to rest at St. Volodymyr Cemetery.
