Obituary
Walter’s family mourns his unexpected passing on Monday January 17, 2022, at Trillium Health Partners, Mississauga, at the age of 68.
Walter was predeceased by his mother, Anna Dydyk (Kurko), father, Nicholas Dydyk, and brother Roman Dydyk. Walter is survived by his daughter Amanda, his beloved granddaughter, Sloane and grandson, Sterling. Walter will be dearly missed by his former spouse, Jo-anne Dydyk (Budreau), his son-in-law, Corwin Steeves, and his extended family and lifelong friends.
Walter was born in Toronto in 1953, growing up on Queen Street West in the heart of Parkdale. Walter was proud of his roots, having formed many of his lifelong friendships during his youth. He had a talent at a young age for pool, winning a championship as a teenager and continuing to use that talent to win large stuffed animals for his daughter at the Ex. Walter also loved sports, spending many years playing baseball with friends and watching his beloved football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Walter was a kid at heart with an incredible laugh. Walter worked hard for decades in logistics with many of those years as a truck driver. In the last number of years, Walter lived in the area of Port Credit where he enjoyed playing poker with friends, loved biking along the promenade and taking long walks in the neighbourhood.
While Walter left us too soon, we take comfort in him being reunited with his loving parents and brother once again.
