Born in Chorobriw, Ukraine in 1927 to Yakiw and Anna Radj, Wasyl migrated to Canada when he was 26 through the sponsorship of PLAST Toronto. He lived for a time in Hamilton, and then moved to Toronto where he was employed as a Master Baker with Future Bakery, until he retired after 45 years of service. He was also a member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church. In spare time he enjoyed working in his vegetable garden both here and in Northern Ontario. He took an active interest in his home village in Ukraine which he visited on several occasions and to which he gave considerable support. He was especially proud of his sponsorship in the construction of the new church there. He will be remembered for his generosity, kindness and devotion to family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Ivanna, his younger brother Hrynko, his daughters Zirka and Oksana, and step-daughter Nadia.
