Obituary
Due to the current pandemic restrictions and under direction from our regulator, the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, effective November 23, 2020 all funerals and visitations will be by invitation only to limit the number of people in attendance and prevent the spread of COVID-19. We encourage those that are unable to attend in person to express their sympathy by posting a message of condolence to our website, donating to a charity of your choice in memory of your loved one or by sending flowers to the funeral home.
Memorial Donations in Zachary's Memory may be made to either the Canadian Cancer Society or to Emily's House Hospice
It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the passing of Zachary John Borges on Sunday, May 16th, 2021 at Emily’s House Hospice surrounded by his family.
Zachary battled cancer like a champ for over a year. He loved basketball, the Raptors and Lebron James. His mother, Annamaria (predeceased) saw his pain and struggle. She wrapped her arms around him and took him with her to heaven. Zachary is survived by his sister Calista and father Roger. He will be missed by his family and friends.Visitation

My deepest condolences to Adriana and her family during this very difficult and sad time. My heart breaks for you and your family. I met Zachary a few times and he seemed like such a great kid. It’s hard to understand why God would take such a young life but his family can take solace in knowing that he is reunited with him mother. May he Rest In Peace.

My deepest condolences to the family of Zach, i hung out with him a few times and would see him at school and the first thing i would always notice , was his eyes and his smile, his eyes were so shiny , i loved them!! He always made sure people were happy and would always make sure everyone was laughing! Zach will be missed a lot, he will remain in our hearts, i know he's looking down and he must be so happy , he always wanted to hit 100 subs on youtube (skinny peanut) and we made sure even if he’s not physically with us we made sure to share around and get him to his goal, he's currently at 140 subs,♥️ Walking into St. Marys will not be the same knowing we lost one of the strongest person in our team!!

I’d like to share my deepest condolences to the family of Zachary Borges. I never thought that I would see myself writing this letter about such a beautiful soul that was taken from us too soon. The memories we shared making jokes and laughing in class, and playing basketball and roblox together will always remain precious to me. He was always so happy and energetic that the atmosphere would noticeably change as soon as he stepped foot into a room. He was a walking bundle of sunshine who carried a rich personality as he battled through life’s toughest obstacles with class. I’m truly blessed to have met a person like Zach and I’m sure many others would agree that he brought nothing but happiness and joy into our lives. It’s surreal to me that he’s no longer with us and that the opportunity of making more wonderful memories with him has been stripped away from us, but I know that he now rests in paradise, free of pain and suffering. My heart goes out to Mr. Borges and Calista, you will always be in my prayers and may God bless your family.

My deepest condolences goes to you, Calista and Mr.Borges. Zach was the most amazing person I’ve ever encountered in my whole life. He’s the most kindest, selfless, funniest, resilient, trustworthy and the realest person I know. There’s never a day have I seen him without a smile on his face and without fail he can put a smile on anyone’s face. He always put others first and was strong both inside and outside. Knowing him and knowing what kind of person he is, is such a huge blessing that it’s such a painful curse to know that he is no longer with us. He is the person you can go to for anything, the person who reaches out first when he knows you’re having a bad day, the person you can laugh with and cry with. His laugh is just so contagious and warming, that to hear it one more time could bring me at peace. Though it’s hard to take in this harsh reality, I know that he would forever be in our hearts, in our minds, and in our memories. Thank you for raising a wonderful man Mr. Borges.

What I remember most, was how he was always looking out for Calista. He was such a wonderful big brother. I know he is amongst the angels now.
