Shumka, Ernie Passed away, peacefully,on October 22, 2011, with his family by his side, Ernie Shumka, beloved husband of Joyce Krakalowich. Loving father of Michael and his wife Patty and Brian and his wife Melanie. Dear grandfather of Sarah, Andrew, Jack, Ashley and Haylie. Brother of Ella Mazurenko and Anne Karpiak. Predeceased by his siblings, Bill, Nell, Peter and Alex. Friends may call at the Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette St. ( east of Keele ) on Monday from 6 – 9 p.m. Panakhyda at 7:30 pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday St. Josaphat’s Ukrainan Catholic Cathedral, 143 Franklin Avenue at 10 am, followed by interment at Park Lawn Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada, # 804 – 2 Lansing Sq., Toronto, Ontario – M2J 4P9 would be appreciated by the family.
