Obituary
Anna Halych 1923-2025 With gratitude for her remarkable life, our family announces the passing of Anna Halych on September 14th, just shy of her 102nd birthday. Anna was born on October 30, 1923 in Yalta, Ukraine. During the hardships of World War II, she met the love of her life, Walter Halych in Germany. Together they began a new chapter in Canada in 1951, where they built a life rooted in hard work and resilience. Anna devoted her career to A R Clarke & Co Ltd., where she worked faithfully for decades. After retiring, she poured her energy into her community and family. She was happiest among her friends in her home community, making varenyky for her church, and sharing precious time with her grand and great-grandchildren. Sharp-mind and always curious, Anna never missed a headline and stayed engaged with the world around her up until the end. Her wisdom and wit enriched every conversation and her long and fulfilling life was an inspiration to all who knew her. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Alexandra Lesia; her cherished grandchildren, Lesley-Ann (Ryan), and Stephanie (Michael); and her adored great-granddaughters Isabella and Charlotte. She will be remembered with love also by her extended family, dear friends, and all who were fortunate to know her. We celebrate Anna’s extraordinary journey – nearly 102 years of strength, perseverance, and love. Her spirit will live on in the three generations she nurtured, the traditions she passed down, and the countless lives she touched.Visitation
