Obituary

Cesar Alberto de Oliveira
February 24, 1946 – November 30, 2025

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Cesar Alberto de Oliveira, who left us on November 30, 2025, at the age of 79, after a long and courageous battle with coronary heart disease and cancer.

Born on February 24, 1946, in Ponta Delgada (S. Pedro), Portugal, Cesar built a life defined by devotion, perseverance, and unwavering love for his family. He was the cherished husband of Guida, his partner of nearly fifty years — a milestone they would have celebrated on January 3rd. Their marriage was the center of his world, and his gratitude and admiration for her never wavered.

Cesar was a proud and loving father to his three sons — Paul (Krista), John (Andrew) and Carlos (Ranko) — who were his greatest joy. Everything he did, he did with them in mind: to give them opportunities, stability, and a life filled with love. His quiet strength, deep sense of responsibility, and boundless generosity shaped the lives of all who loved him.

He will be remembered for his warmth, determination, and the courage with which he faced every challenge. His legacy lives on in the family he built, the values he instilled, and the love he shared with all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at Cardinal Funeral Home on December 3, 2025, from 5:00–9:00 pm.

Funeral Mass will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on December 4, 2025, at 9:45 am, followed by entombment at Park Lawn Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Cesar’s memory.
