Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Manuel Nunes. He was born in Portugal on March 17, 1931, and passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully on January 13, 2026.

Manuel was a loving husband for 67 years to the love of his life, Maria Adelaide. He was also a devoted father to Maria and Ana and father-in-law to Jeff and Trent. His pride and joy were his grandchildren, Amanda (Aaron), Matthew (Diana), Sarah (Derek), and Ryan (Kenzie).

A great friend to many - his kindness had no limit. There was no one he wouldn’t help, whether they were a friend, a neighbour, or even a stranger.

Manuel was an avid sports fan of the Leafs, Raptors, and Jays, but his heart belonged to his beloved Portuguese soccer team, Benfica.

His passing has left a huge hole in our lives, but thankfully, he has gifted us with many wonderful memories, love, and laughter that will keep him in our hearts forever

If you wish to make a memorial donation in memory of Mr. Manuel Nunes, the family has asked you to consider UHN Foundation
