Obituary
Margaret Miranda (née Tavares), 59 years young, was truly one of a kind - an absolute firecracker in the very best way. Highly intelligent, generous, loving, funny, and endlessly kind, Margaret had a presence you could feel the moment she walked into a room. She was sassy and fierce, always ready with a sharp sense of humor, a confident opinion, and a heart that always had room to care for others.
Margaret was the devoted, loving and great-advice giving wife of 37 years to Joe, and the proud, adoring mother to Brittany, whom she taught, nurtured, advised, and loved for close to 33 years. Brittany is engaged to Christopher, and Margaret’s spirit will live on through them as they build their future together.
She was the kind of woman who didn’t just help people when asked – she found ways to make the lives of those around her easier. She showed up, she gave, she listened, and she loved with her whole heart.
Margaret was also a strong woman of faith. She believed deeply in God’s plan for her, and even through life’s hardest moments, she carried a quiet strength rooted in trust, love, and grace. That strength helped to guide her and comfort those around her.
Margaret loved travelling with her husband, making memories together and finding joy in new places. Wherever she went, she had a way of making connections with the people around her. She loved meeting new faces, sharing stories, and turning strangers into friends. Margaret loved a chat, and her warmth, humor, and genuine curiosity made everyone feel welcome.
And she did it all with amazing style. Margaret was always elegantly put together, effortlessly herself and appreciated every occasion as an opportunity to dress well. She carried herself with confidence and flair, and there was simply no one like her.
To know Margaret was to love her. She leaves behind a family who adored her, and a circle of people whose lives are forever better because she was in them. She will be missed beyond words, but her fire, her kindness, and her fierce love will never be forgotten.
We will carry her with us, always.
