Galati, Cesare – Born in Vallelonga, VV, Italy October 26, 1933. Died at St. Joseph’s Health Center on May 29, 2010. Father of Sam, Gino and Anna. Nonno to Luke and Arbor. Brother to Gaspare (Maria). Husband of Carmela Volpe. Cesare will be remembered by many other friends and family in Italy, Toronto and by others encountered during his many travels. Family and friends may call at the Cardinal Funeral Home (366 Bathurst St., north of Dundas) on Monday May 31 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday June 1 at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church (Grace and Mansfield) at 9:45 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Catholic Cemetery (Mt. Pleasant and Erskine). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Lung Association would be much appreciated. On behalf of the Barrina family I would like to express our deepest sympathy. It was nice to see you after so many years. Your dad was also a father figure to us especially after our dad passed away so young. They had a similar mannarism, particularly in their speech. It was always a welcomed visit when your dad came to see my mom because it reminded us of our own dad.
