Obituary

Archie Alleyne loved many and was loved by all. His presence was unforgettable and his personality was larger then life. His charm and charisma was contagious and he left the room with you wanting more. Archie was always a positive thinker and truly believed that you could never smile too much, laugh too much or never have too much information. Live, love, laugh. ”Let’s go for a taste…" Archie is survived by his three daughters, Tyyra, Trinaa and Tessama, two sons, Ronnie and Aaron, eight grandchildren, Hyghly, Jenday, Nia, Kairi, Jonah, Adrielle, Kayla, Robyn, daughter-in-law, Alison and son-in-law, Shakah and his loving partner of many years, Elvira. The family would also like to acknowledge son-in-law, Bruce Wilson, who died earlier this year and the following families, the Downes, the Jones, the Jacksons and the Matthews. In lieu of flowers, the Alleyne family has requested that donations be made to the Archie Alleyne Scholarship Fund (AASF). There is also a social media campaign to commemorate Archie’s memory with the official hashtag tribute #withoutthepastthere is no future

Dear Trinaa, Tyyra and family members of Archie Alleyne, Please accept my sincere sympathy at this very sad time. I met your father just once, when he was visiting at Trinaa's place, and was struck by what a warm, friendly man he was. After listening to a CD he had recorded, I was able to appreciate what an amazing musicianship he possessed. The main reason I know he must have been a tremendous person is because you, Trinaa and Tyyra, are such great neighbours to me. And, of course, Tyrra, this is a terrible blow for you, having just lost your husband. I send you and your family lots of love and please let me know if there is anything I can do. Warmly, Bev Lewis (neighbour)
