Obituary

The family of Mr. Fernando Faria is saddened to announce his passing, peacefully, on Wednesday July 5, 2023 in Toronto. Survived by his beloved wife Gilda, and children Fernando Faria (Etelvina Faria), Maria Faria, and Ana Hill (Ivan Hill) and forever remembered by his many loving grandchildren, (Mathew Faria, Sarah Debem, Mason Faria, Sabrina Debem, Nicole Hill, and David Hill), and cherished great-grandchildren (Melody Debem, Kira D'Hondt, Maddison Debem, and, Aariah D'Hondt)

Fernando Faria immigrated with his family from Portugal and worked as a carpenter building restaurants and renovating homes. Fernando purchased a house for his family in Toronto and with his skills made it a home. Fernando had a great sense of humour and loved singing (fado in Portugal and singing at church), making homemade wine and enjoyed time with family going to beaches on Sunday and playing cards, dominos, and going to Portuguese festivals.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation to Toronto Grace Palliative Care or please consider taking a moment to remember Fernando and his wonderful legacy.
