Obituary

Francisco passed away peacefully on February 19th at St. Joseph’s Hospital with his loving family and friends by his side. Francisco was born in Magsingal Ilocos Sur, Philippines. In 1973 he embarked on his courageous journey to Canada and planted new roots that created a lasting legacy for his family.

Francisco was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be remembered lovingly by his wife of 50 years, Mildred, his two sons, Derick and Darwin, his daughter-in-law, Georgia, and his two grandchildren, Luzane and Nathan. He will also be greatly missed by his sister, Lovella and his five brothers Percival, Roldan, Clayton, Bernoulli, Ollendorf, many nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Francisco was known for his kindness, sense of humour, and unwavering support for his family and friends. Francisco enjoyed ballroom dancing, traveling, doing crossword puzzles, and spending time with his loved ones. He also had a passion for gardening and spent countless hours tending to his beautiful plants and flowers, which brought joy to everyone who saw it. We are grateful for the love and laughter that Francisco brought into our lives and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

His family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff and caregivers at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their care, kindness, and support over the last 10 years throughout his dialysis treatment and his 3-month stay before his passing. They also thank every family member and friend who also provided their care and support to Francisco during this time.
