Obituary
Henry Klimas b. February 26, 1955, d. April 27, 2023.
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of my dear brother Henry Klimas born in Toronto, Ontario.
He is survived by his brother Robert. Henry is predeceased by his parents John and Helen Klimas.
He took pleasure in going to New York City on many occasions, perhaps over ten times. The different neighborhoods fascinated him.
He was an air show enthusiast attending many air shows and airplane and space museums in Canada and United States. He did go at least once to Oshkosh, an air show in Wisconsin. This air show is the holy grail of air shows.
He was an industrial millwright and worked for Estee Lauder for 30 years. He retired in April 2022. He was proud to say he worked there and what he did there too.
Over the past decade he mastered cooking the perfect turkey and prime rib dinners during the holidays.
He enjoyed the Sunday dinners his brother made for him and our late mother Helen. I truly believe he found it rewarding when I would use the same kitchen gadgets, spoons, pots, wine glasses, oven, cook books and so on that he picked up at thrift stores. He would often say we are eating quality food like the top 1% of society here on Essex Street.
He cherished looking after our late dear mother, especially over last 10 years of her life as her health declined to make sure she was taken care of.
I will sorely miss his sound brotherly perspective and guidance. All the things an older brother should be there to give.
May he rest in peace and his memory remain eternal.
If desired, donations may be made to St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish.
