Obituary

Jerry Michael Willett, born on September 9, 1953 in Stephenville, Newfoundland.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce Jerry’s passing on February 2, 2023.

Beloved partner and best friend of Mary, who stood by each other through thick and thin. Adored father and father-in-law of Julie and Eric, Denise and Ash.  Step-father of Colleen (Chris), Alicia and Melanie. Adored grandad of Annika, Evan, Thomas, and Dylan.

Dearly loved son of Stanley and Violet (both deceased). Treasured brother of Neil (deceased), Michael (deceased), Elaine (Bob), Leonard (Patsy), Brian (Lorraine), Cathy (Sean), Sheila (Sean), Sharon (Kevin), Stanley (Rose), Colleen (Rory) and Judy (Dwayne).  Loved by numerous nieces and nephews and so many extended family and friends.

Jerry was a devoted member of his family, and his passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be remembered for his big heart, his love of great conversation and good laughs, and his generous caring nature.

We are grateful for the memories and the love and laughter that Jerry brought into our lives, and we will always cherish them.

We would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to Mary, Julie, Denise, Colleen, Alicia, Melanie, Annika, Evan, Dylan, Thomas, and the entire family.

To celebrate Jerry’s life, he would love nothing more than to be remembered fondly while listening to songs by his favorite poet, the great John Prine.

Rest in peace, Jerry. You will be missed.
